Mechanical issue prompts emergency landing of American Airlines

A Philadelphia-Birmingham bound airplane of American Airlines was compelled to make a landing in North Carolina owing to a mechanical issue on Friday night.
American Airlines said that flight 5078 that was operated by PSA Airlines had landed safely at Piedmont Triad International Airport around 7.39 p.m. after being diverted owing to a mechanical issue.
A spokesperson then mentioned in an official statement that American Airlines had dispatched a replacement aircraft, which is estimated to arrive at Piedmont Triad International Airport at 10 p.m. ET.
He then went on to add that they never want to disrupt their customers’ travel plans, and they are sorry for the trouble this caused. He also added that their customer relations team would soon be reaching out to all of the passengers on flight 5078.
There were 37 passengers and four crew members on board the plane.
No injuries have been reported so far as consequence of the abrupt landing of this American Airlines flight.
