United Airlines Continues To Grow At Akron-Canton Airport

Planning your warm-weather vacation for 2019? Well lucky you, United Airlines has announced additional capacity at the Akron-Canton Airport (CAK).

 

 

Aircraft flown from CAK to George Bush Intercontinental Houston Airport will be upgauged in April 2019, from a 50-seat aircraft to a 76-seat, dual-class aircraft. That means comfier, roomier options and more seats for those traveling to Texas and beyond.

 

 

“United Airlines has been a wonderful partner to Northeast Ohio, especially the Akron-Canton region,” said Rick McQueen, President and CEO of the Akron-Canton Airport. “An investment like this in any community will only work if travelers choose to use the service, and the growth in United’s CAK network is a direct result of ridership. With continued support, I’m confident we will see more wins like this.”

 

 

Houston is well-worth a visit, but what’s more for the community is with one, quick stop through Houston travelers can access favorite vacation destinations like Cancun, New Orleans, Phoenix, and Cabo.

 

 

Let’s not forget the business traveler who will enjoy the new dual-class option. Business class will be available from CAK to Houston for easy connections to Mexico City, Midland/Odesa, Oklahoma City, San Salvador, and many more.

 

 

In addition to the larger aircraft to Houston, travelers will also enjoy more availability through Chicago O’Hare to favorite destinations like San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver and Las Vegas.

 

 

With the new nonstop service to Houston, and increased capacity to Chicago and Newark/New York, United Airlines will mark over 40% growth at Akron-Canton Airport year over year.
