$3 Million Marketing Campaign relaunched by U.S. Virgin Islands to facilitate travel

The U.S. Virgin Islands Department of Tourism will relaunch a $3 million marketing campaign to facilitate travel to St. Croix, St. John and St. Thomas in the months ahead. The department is supporting the private sector partners through this.

 

 

Due to the impact of Hurricanes Irma and Maria and hiatus during Fiscal Year 2017-2018 the Real Nice advertising campaign is back.

 

Around two-third of the $3 million budget will be spent on television ads on major channels.The main motive is to generate top-of-mind awareness about the Territory among those looking for an authentic Carribean experience.

 

 

Through the advertisement the consumers will get a look inside the Virgin Island lifestyle and how it has the potential of transforming the vacation into a distinct cultural experience.

 

$500,000 will be allocated to digital advertising and social media; a $350,000 social media program has been launched to promote accommodations.The rest of the sum will go to cooperative marketing and print advertising in several marketing segments.

 

 

There will be a focus on adventure travel, history, culinary tourism and marine industry while the marketing campaign will be delivering more than 150 million paid media impression and increase the traffic.
