Cracked windshield triggers emergency landing of American Airlines

A cracked windshield on an aircraft of American Airlines compelled a Tokyo-bound airplane to return to Chicago O’ Hare International Airport on Monday afternoon.
Flight 153 that was a Boeing 787-8 aircraft of this air carrier was carrying 164 passengers and 13 crew members on Monday.
A spokesperson of American Airlines mentioned that the maintenance team would be evaluating the aircraft and would also work on getting its customers to their destination as swiftly and safely as possible on their end.
No further information was available regarding the emergency landing.
The flight was able to return to O’Hare Airport around 4.50 p.m.
Currently the maintenance team is working on evaluating the aircraft. American Airlines said aircraft windshields have multiple layers and they would try their best to ensure that customers reach their destination without delay.
