Now check –in with your face at Marriott International

Alibaba Group and Marriott International has join hands to spearhead a facial recognition check-in. This will be in association with Fliggy, Alibaba’s travel service platform.

 

 

 

This venture comes after the recent global rollout of the Post Pay functionality and the redesigned storefront on Fliggy that continuously seek to elevate the travel experience of the tech-savvy Chinese travellers.

 

 

 

 

Henry Lee, managing director of Marriott International Greater China was excited to partner, he said that the joint venture will offer an innovative and convenient check-in alternatives for Chinese travelers.

 

Marriott has always embraced cutting-edge technology that creates a memorable experiences for guests  and through this the hotel associated can work efficiently delivering personalized services to their guests.

 

The pilot will kick off from July onward at two of Marriott International properties in China- Hangzhou Marriott Hotel Qianjiang and Sanya Marriott Hotel Dadonghai Bay. They intend to rollout globally across Marriott’s International properties in the future.

 

 

The traditional hotel check-in process takes a minimum of three minutes and more during the peak hours, this move will position Marriott International as a pioneer in the global hospitality company offering a seamless check-in experience.
